If a lamp is never turned on

Then what is it's purpose?

If one is blessed with many talents

But they are never used, what good is it?

If one has a passionate desire to pursue a dream

But only leaves it as a inner passion

Will it lead anywhere?

If one loves so deeply, but never let's it out

Who will know such a intimate love exists?

If Jesus died on the cross to save the world

But nobody is told of this great gift

Who will receive the gift of heaven?

If God is kept in a box

How will His power, mercy, healing, love and glory be shown to the world?

If a lamp is never turned on

Does it even exist?

Be the light. Turn it on.

LIGHT: Living It 4 God's Heart Today

"You are the light of the world-like a city on a mountain, glowing in the night for all to see. Don't hide your light under a blanket! Instead, put it on a stand and let it shine for all. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father."

-Matthew 5:14-16

LIGHT Ministry's name is derived from the verse above to serve as a constant reminder of the mission God's people have been entrusted with. Living for God means that one must first deny ones own ambitions and desires and then pick up the cross of God and let His will be done in ones life.

"Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I (God) am with you always, even to the end of the age."

-Matthew 28:19-20

Jesus I believe in You and I would go to the ends of the earth, to the ends of the earth...
